His fascinating trick really helps calm the kids.
Dr. Robert Hamilton has been a pediatrician in Santa Monica, California, USA for over 26 years. Over the years, working with children has managed to develop a special technique that allows you to soothe crying babies.
“I use this technique all day long while working with children and it’s really effective,” he says. This technique works best with children under the age of 3 months. "And it can work for premature babies, but you have to be especially gentle," the doctor adds.
Here's how it works ...
Take a crying baby.
Gently fold the baby’s arms across the chest.
Then, holding the child at an angle of 45 degrees, gently wiggle it, moving back and forth.
And a little shake tiny booty.
Move the baby like this.
This baby doesn’t seem to mind at all.
And he looks pretty happy.
